MCM London Comicon 2017
(October)
This year I went twice, which I found still wasn't enough and I really should of went all three days to get proper use of the cosplays I've invested in. On the Friday I went as Coronation Dress Belle from the Live Action Beauty and the Beast, honestly this dress made me feel like a total floral princess and it was all thanks to Jessica Vill who very kindly gifted me the dress originally from the amazing Secret Honey (https://www.rakuten.ne.jp/gold/secrethoney/) I had to get a petticoat for underneath to fill it out but found one from ebay for like £10, its the most perfect dress though and fits like a dream! I made my own shoes also, the shoes originally worn were Rococo style shoes which cost like £300-600 online, as a student I don't have that sort of money so I noticed the shoe style resembled character shoes and bought plain white ones for £7 online then painted them silver and embellished
them myself, taking inspiration from the Disney LE Coronation Belle Doll as you can't really see her shoes in the film. Belle is always a hit at comicons, and I love love Emma Watson's portrayal of Belle so much its so flattering to me that people think I do it justice. The Friday of comicon however was pretty chill, less people than the Saturday which I actually like 10x more as sometimes it can be too cramped. On the Saturday I went as Elizabeth Swann, you guys I was so so so excited for this, Elizabeth Swann has always been an empowering character to me so to cosplay her was a dream! the dress was made by the talented Chelsea Rebecca (facebook.com/chelsearebeccacosplay) and was not only stunning but also amazingly comfy. This cosplay wasn't as noticeable as Belle, particularly because I had no Jack Sparrow or William Turner with me...maybe I'll find a Pirates of the Caribbean cosplay group in need of an Elizabeth to join?! I went to the bar outside of the convention after and found a Jack and Will eventually.

Saturday was a special day also because I got to meet so many cosplayers I admire and a friend I hadn't seen in seven years who had this breathtakingly stunning Sally cosplay from The Nightmare Before Christmas....for real guys, I have a photo with her on my instagram I was shooketh.I had alot of compliments on my Elizabeth Swann hair and i'd like to point out that they are simply clip on extentions from the shopping center nearest me. I'm planning on attending MCM London 2018 in May and hoping to elaborate my Elizabeth Swann to wear the red satin dress she wears over the dress im wearing, it costs a literal bomb as everything does with cosplay but wanting to possibly make it myself and make this a project for me. I see so many cosplayers make their own elaborate costumes and I do have an NQ in Fashion Design so....could give it a wee go, despite the fact that I passed by a hair and was the worst in my course.

Tara Jarmon Vogue Fashion Night Out Paris 2013
(this post is old and I apologize for how annoying I was, why did any of you follow me)

So, as many of you don't know (because I have been M.I.A for a while on here) I was invited to Tara Jarmon's Blossom Party with Vogue Fashion Night Out, to say I was excited would of been an understatement. I was so happy and honored to be a guest. I am a huge fan of Tara's and absolutely adore all her clothing! So classical and elegant as well as feminine and girly. I feel as if Tara Jarmon just gets my style, so when I heard it was a blossom party I freaked out (in a good way) I LOVE FLORAL, I LOVE BLOSSOMS, I LOVE PARTIES, I LOVE TARA JARMON, I LOVE VOGUE, I LOVE PARIS....its like everything I love rolled into one night. The party was beyond stunning! it was like walking into a very beautiful wonderland, it had a "secret garden" type feel accompanied by celebrated people, good music, and (of course) champagne! I got to bring my main man Frankie, I also styled him, so I guess I style mens fashion now too because I thought he looked very chic! The clothes on display during the night were flawless, I just wanted to change into one of the gorgeous dresses! My outfit choice was based on the fact that it was a "Blossom Party" I wore my Top Shop wedged heels because I felt they matched my NastyGal flowy-fairylike dress, I loved the straps on the dress, so when I accompanied it with my Purple/Floral kimono I was careful to choose how I styled the kimono below the straps! I blended the floral of the kimono into the look with my beautiful Flower Crown from RocknRose.
